For several years now, Palamos Port has been hosting a fair dedicated to celebrating its local shrimp. It’s an outstanding opportunity for thousands of gourmands to gather and savor shrimp prepared in various delectable ways—grilled, paired with rice, in crispy croquettes, and even as part of ice cream concoctions. Many of the city’s restaurants participate, offering shrimp-infused dishes that showcase their culinary prowess. In the year 2023, the fair saw over 200 kilograms of shrimp being served, with dining experiences enhanced by communal tables, live music, and guided tours aboard fishing boats.
And should you find yourself needing a break from shrimp indulgence, the fair also boasts a small market featuring specialty products from the Emporda region.
